There is an application form for all LSCBN courses at the back of the Course Brochure. Please complete the form fully and clearly and send it to the:

| Why does my manager need to sign my application form? |
| You need your manager's permission to attend all LSCBN courses to ensure that s/he is in agreement and that the course will contribute towards your professional development. |
| Do the courses cost anything? |
| The courses are free to all LSCBN members. The LSCBN has a budget for training which is made up of financial contributions by all agencies forming the committee. Non-ACPC members are welcome to apply for courses - charges are listed on the course descriptions. |

| Will I automatically get a place on the course I've applied for? |
You will not automatically get a place on a course.
We will let you know if you have a place on the course or not at least 3 weeks before the date of the training |
| What happens if I have to cancel my place on a course? |
| Let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your place to someone else. You will be charged an administration fee unless the cancellation is unavoidable e.g. due to ill-health. |
| Can I nominate another colleague to go in my place? |
| No. Generally LSCBN courses are over-subscribed and we would prefer to offer cancellations to other applicants who have already been turned down. |
| Will my name be placed on a reserve list if I don't get a place? |
| We are unable to do this as it is not practical to either course applicants or the LSCBN. |

| Do you operate a waiting list? |
| No, we do not have the time or the resources to do this. You will have to re-apply each time. |
| What happens if I'm unwell and miss the second day of a two day course? |
| In these circumstances you will be offered the opportunity of attending the part of the course missed if it is a course that we are re-running. |
| If more than one person from the team applies, will we all get a place on the course? |
| Not necessarily. We have a responsibility to ensure that all courses have a balanced spread of agencies and roles (see selection criteria) |
